The resident company of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone, and the E.I. Chazov National Medical Research Center of Cardiology will analyze the medical histories of patients who have suffered a heart attack to develop an AI model that integrates data from CT scans and blood tests. The AI will also specifically screen for early signs of calcium deposits in the coronary arteries. The partners signed a three-year cooperation agreement on October 8, 2026.
The services will be tested using anonymized data from the National Medical Research Center, with their performance compared against assessments made by physicians. Additionally, algorithms will be developed to provide guidance for patients identified as having specific risk factors.
According to the developer, the AI detects early signs of calcification in 69% of chest CT scans. In a pilot project spanning 73 regions of Russia, the service identified varying degrees of calcification in 29.1% of the scans, with 11.5% of cases classified as high-risk.
